If you like this color you have probably often faced people claiming black is the color of desperation, sadness and bad luck. Now then, I guess most of you didn't know how to respond. You just knew they're not right. You thought judging people by color is silly. In this article, I'll try to teach you why it isn't silly and what to come-back those pro psychologists offending your color. Let's look at it from scientific perspective. Black doesn't reflect light and is known as absence of all colors. It absorbs all the frequencies. What would it logically symbolize? Stability. Balance. And do you know what stability and balance are in psychology? They're ultimate goals of our being. If you reached complete stability within yourself you have reached above human limits and became something morally incredible. |
Knowing that black symbolizes balance, we can conclude any disbalance will be obvious compared to it. It bares us, exposes our soul. Wearing black shows who you really are to others. If you're able to look powerful and confident in black you should really be proud of who you turned out to be.
Not only that, but also because black exposes us, it also leaves ultimate elegance to those who are able to wear it properly. You surely saw a picture of confident businessman in black, or some lady in long dress. They both looked confident and great, but also mysterious. The mystery of this color is the fact that, if you look elegant in it, people are despairing to find any weak spot on you because you seem really dominant. And that might be aiming for bad meanings of this color made up by civilization. ;)
